Why We Built Cillessen Construction
Cillessen Construction Company was originally founded by Heath's father, a commercial and residential builder in Denver who ran it until his passing in 1991. Heath grew up around the trade, and in January 2013, he reopened the family business to carry the name forward.
He built it around the things that matter most to him: skilled craftsmanship, honest communication, and a team that takes pride in the work. We bring on the most qualified subcontractors and the most talented craftsmen we can find, because the quality of the people on a project is what shows up in the finished home.
Today we handle whole-home renovations, additions, custom homes, exterior renovations, and insurance restoration for homeowners across the Front Range. Our goal since day one is to ensure the construction experience is as solid as the finished house.

1970s
A Family Legacy Begins
The Cillessen name has deep roots in construction. Heath's father built a large commercial construction company under the same name in the 70s and 80s, running projects across Colorado, New Mexico, and Nebraska before his passing in 1991.
2013
Starting Fresh with a New Vision
Heath officially reopened Cillessen Construction in January 2013 at age 22, after years of hands-on experience in the trade. He built the business around three things: craftsmanship, communication, and commitment to transparency.
Early Years
Learning and Refining the Approach
The early years were about growing through referrals and learning what worked. Heath spent the first decade refining how we run jobs day-to-day, from client communication to subcontractor coordination to quality control. Most of our growth came from past clients calling us back for the next project.
Today
A Front Range Builder Focused on Residential Work
We handle large-scale remodels, additions, custom homes, exterior renovations, and insurance restoration across Denver, Boulder, and the Front Range. We've completed over 945 projects since 2013 and continue to refine the systems and processes that make the work consistent.

A Personal Note from Heath
Cillessen Construction Company was originally founded in Arvada, Colorado in the 1970s. What started as a small company quickly grew into a large commercial construction business, completing projects across Colorado, New Mexico, and Nebraska.
In 1991, my dad, the founder of the company, passed away unexpectedly, and the business was shut down.
Construction has always been a part of my life. I started working in the trade at a young age and knew I wanted to carry on what he built. In 2013, I earned my general contractor's license and reopened Cillessen Construction Company, bringing the name back with a new focus on residential construction.
From the beginning, my goal has been to build a company that reflects the values I grew up around. Integrity. Quality. Transparency. Every employee and trade partner we work with is chosen based on their craftsmanship and their commitment to doing things the right way.
